For some reason the colour of this piece of calcite did not photograph well, so I also added a backlit photo to show more accurately how gorgeous this yellow calcite pendent is. The hand carved bone face is accented with burgundy fresh water pearls and seed beads. I lightly carved the edge of the central figure with swirls; into which I rubbed a metalic gold - this also doesn't show well - I will try for a better shot when I have more time. The bail is made with triple life spirals. The necklace has graduated sizes of gold plated filgree beads - yellow citrine - yellow calcite and some plum speckled glass beads and of course more burgundy fresh water pearls.
The stone is from a mine in Northern Utah where it is exclusively mined; the headquarters of the mine is in San Antonio, Texas; the mine is called "Colours of the Wind".
