This beautiful necklace needs someone who loves to dress up and take it dancing - hopefully to twirl about a ballroom to a Vienese waltze. Imagine a dress with a full purple skirt which will swirl as she dances with her modern day prince.
This delicious piece does also dress down; as it looks wonderful with this vintage blouse and my black suit - alas I just do not go out as often as I used to, and managed just barely to take it on the test drive it deserved.. Living tucked away as we are in the country is not condusive to ballroom dancing.
Learning about the semi-precious stones is almost as exciting as making them into beautiful pieces of jewelry. I have gathered a large file with this piece - a culmination of the wonderful bits have gathered about the unique stone Charoite, plus all the other pertinent piece for its personal story.
In December 2003 I entered this piece of jewelry into the Fire Mountain Bead Contest. It received 2nd place in the glass bead division - out of over 4000 beaders that is not too shabby.
