Moroccan Sunrise

Hand knotted sennit braid from pendent to knotted clasp.

Beads used are Horn, Japanese glass in black & rust tones, African snake beads, white metal Afghani beads and a Afghani portion of an earring with chain tassels.

This is a rendition that crosses over the far and middle east .

The rusty red tones remind me of the deep red desert in Morocco as the sun rises and the dark of night turns to day.

The Japanese beads have the black and rust of the desert and night, the silver is the sparkle of the stars as they fade into day.

"Dark Shadows"

Handmade Clay Bead Necklace Beads from Columbia

The beads used in this necklace were made in a mission in Bogotá.

The directors came to the states and sold the clay beads that were made by their students to help support the mission school

The name of this necklace reflects on my thoughts of the hard times that these young people had to face.

A mix of black hieshi type beads, triangle focal piece, half moons and small silver colored beads interspersed through out.

I strung the silver beads into small circles and used them as spacers.

Price: $60.00 US

Wandering Paths

Each side of this intricate macramé picks up the colors on both sides of the dicroic glass pendent.

Interspersed here and there amidst the tiny knots, you will find a few beads which add a touch of sparkle.

Macramé at this level is extremely time consuming and the end result is truly a work of art.

The top of the necklace is a selection of beads carrying through the many colours of the pendant and adding sparkle right to the toggle clasp.

Price: $389.00 US

Fishing for Compliments

This fish is swimming in a warm sea of cool turquoise blues with sparks of orange sun shining through the tropical sea .

Copper beads, vintage glass beads from all over the world all go together to make the finished project. The colors remind you of diving off of the coast of Australia.

Putting it together was an experiment in using minuscule weavings and tying them all together with beads.

The clasp of the necklace is a knot tied at the end, and the is loop macramé.

This necklace is light weight as it is put together with fibers, a nice meld of two techniques.

Necklace 23" long

The fish is 3 1/2" long and 1 1/2" wide.

Light green macramé is at the end of necklace with a fish hook clasp.

WARNING: Cinnabar is extremely POISONOUS
